Lighthouse

Lighthouse Tender Narcissus

Commissioned in 1939, the Lighthouse Tender Narcissus was built at a cost of $220,000. Compared to previously built tenders, improvements were made for seaworthiness, derrick capacity, the buoy deck size and more power for propulsion and maneuverablity. This special replica is a companion piece to the Harbour Lights Limited Edition #42386 Stratford Shoal Light, CT. That Long Island Sound sentinel was isolated and frequently under siege by strong winds, not an easy place for a Keeper to live. Imagine the excitement when the Lighthouse Tender Narcissus would bring mail, newspapers and supplies to the isolated outpost! Both replicas are designed to fit together at the base to look like the vessel is visiting the lighthouse. 7 1/4"" x 4".
